EAGERLY ANTICIPATING:
I love Sally Hepworth’s books, so I was thrilled to learn of her newest: The Mother-in-Law, with a release date of April 23, 2019.
Synopsis: A twisty, compelling new novel about one woman’s complicated relationship with her mother-in-law that ends in death…
From the moment Lucy met her husband’s mother, Diana, she was kept at arm’s length. Diana was exquisitely polite, and properly friendly, but Lucy knew that she was not what Diana envisioned. But who could fault Diana? She was a pillar of the community, an advocate for social justice who helped female refugees assimilate to their new country. Diana was happily married to Tom, and lived in wedded bliss for decades. Lucy wanted so much to please her new mother-in-law.
That was five years ago.
Now, Diana has been found dead, a suicide note near her body. Diana claims that she no longer wanted to live because of a battle with cancer.
But the autopsy finds no cancer.
The autopsy does find traces of poison and suffocation.
Who could possibly want Diana dead?
Why was her will changed at the eleventh hour to disinherit both of her adult children and their spouses? With Lucy’s secrets getting deeper and her relationship with her mother-in-law growing more complex as the pages turn, this new novel from Sally Hepworth is sure to add to her growing legion of fans.

So glad to read that you liked The Day of the Dead. That is on my TBR list, and I might have to move it up a bit. I didn’t get as many books read, but I blame it on the fact that I am reading a Stephen King beast of a book. LOL Here is my WWW: https://greatmorrisonmigration.wordpress.com/2018/10/31/www-wednesdays-october-31-2018/

I’m a bit embarrassed, but this is my first Stephen King. I’m taking my time with it and really enjoying his writing style.

Thanks for visiting, Jolie; I am loving A Spark of Light, and how we flip back and forth in time and see the back stories of the characters.

I liked that too. Also, having the book told from the end to the beginning was different too.

I’m hearing a lot about A Spark of Light and – confession coming up – I’ve never actually read any of her books but I’m wondering if this might be the one that puts that right.

Thanks, Cathy, I am enjoying A Spark of Light. Like Picoult’s other books, she draws us into a crisis, and then shows us more about the characters before the events took place.
