Early mornings often find me perched at my Coca Cola table, feeling the cool breeze through the patio door, and making the day’s canister of iced tea and a cold dish for dinner later, usually potato salad, which I’ve been salivating over since July 4th.
Today, I have completed those tasks…and I’ve had breakfast out, with my book as a companion. A nice follow up to No Child of Mine, the sequel, Don’t Let Me Go, is as “unputdownable” as the first one.
Tucked away in New Zealand, hoping to start over with her new little charge, renamed “Chloe,” Alex (Charlotte) is starting to believe in their future. But then, a jealous woman decides to make trouble.

To add the cherry to my day, I got an email from Harvee, at The Book Dilettante…I won a copy of a book I’ve been wanting: Finding Colin Firth.

Back to the book…I finally had to put it down last night because I was really tired. But I’ll be cracking it again after I eat breakfast this a.m…..or during!
