Today I’m participating in Sam’s WWW Wednesdays Here’s how it works:

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next, and/or what are you eagerly awaiting?

I’ve been tackling my NetGalley ARCs this week, so one of my current reads is Emma in the Night, by Wendy Walker, to be released on 8/8/17.  “Both twisted and twisty, this smart psychological thriller sets a new standard for unreliable narrators.” –Booklist, Starred Review

Bad Housekeeping, by Maia Chance is a book I purchased in June  (I am still whittling away at my Read the Books You Buy Challenge).  It is the first novel in the Agnes & Effie cozy mystery series by Maia Chance.   Danger mounts, deadlines loom, ancient knob-and-tube wiring is explored, and the ladies learn a thing or two about the awful, wonderful mistake that is going back home.

BOOKS FINISHED SINCE LAST WEEK: (Click Titles/Covers for My Reviews).

Every Wild Heart, by Meg Donohue

Mrs. Fletcher, by Tom Perrotta (NetGalley – 8/1)

Girl in Snow, by Danya Kukafta (NetGalley – 8/1)

I have several NetGalley review books ahead of me in August and September.  It is very tempting to list them all…but instead, I’m going to list a book I’m wishing for:

Promise Not to Tell, by Jayne Ann Krentz (1/2/18)

Synopsis:  Seattle gallery owner Virginia Troy has spent years battling the demons that stem from her childhood time in a cult and the night a fire burned through the compound, killing her mother. And now one of her artists has taken her own life, but not before sending Virginia a last picture: a painting that makes Virginia doubt everything about the so-called suicide—and her own past.

Like Virginia, private investigator Cabot Sutter was one of the children in the cult who survived that fire…and only he can help her now. As they struggle to unravel the clues in the painting, it becomes clear that someone thinks Virginia knows more than she does and that she must be stopped. Thrown into an inferno of desire and deception, Virginia and Cabot draw ever closer to the mystery of their shared memories—and the shocking fate of the one man who still wields the power to destroy everything they hold dear.

I love romantic suspense, and I especially love a Seattle setting.

That’s my week so far…what does yours look like?

    1. Thanks, Jan, I am eager to read them all, and loved the ones I already finished….and January can’t come soon enough for the new JAK book…but maybe I can find an ARC earlier! Thanks for visiting.

  1. I’ve been tackling my NetGalley books, too. (All summer, in fact.) Once I get through my current batch, I think I’ll switch to Christmas reads. With the time it will take to read and review, the timing will be about right. I won Bad Housekeeping in a giveaway. Maybe I’ll get to it in October. 🙂 You finished quite a few books last week! Keep it up! Happy reading.
