THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION: What’s your most favorite “chunky” book? (over 500 pages)

***

I finally started reading Flight Patterns, by Karen White, which I’ve had for a while…but for whatever reason, other books got ahead of it in the queue.

The New York Times bestselling author of The Sound of Glass and coauthor of The Forgotten Room tells the story of a woman coming home to the family she left behind—and to the woman she always wanted to be…

Sometimes going home is painful, but it can also be a healing time.  I have always enjoyed Karen White’s books, since the very first ones I read a few years ago, the Tradd Street books.

Have you read her?  What did you think?

    1. Thanks for visiting, Breana, and I had never read this author, like many authors I now love, before blogging. I consider the discovery of this author as one of those treasures the blogging world brings.

  1. This would be a tough one for me to answer, as I read a bit of fantasy and those are often chunksters. Sometimes I like a good long book and other times I need a few shorter reads, just to get my mojo going. Anyway- hope it’s a good one!

    1. Lately, I’ve been leaning toward shorter books (under 400 pages, at least), because I want to get to as many books as I can.

But back in the day, I did enjoy long books, and Gone with the Wind, at more than 1000 pages, was one of those.

      Thanks for visiting, Greg.

    1. The first books I read from KW were the Tradd Street books….I didn’t get to them all; The Girl on Legare Street was one I missed along the way. But I’ve skipped around, picking the books up right and left. I really love all the Southern settings….and another of my recent favorites was The Sound of Glass.

Thanks for stopping by, Cheryl, and enjoy exploring these titles.
