Welcome to another Monday Potpourri, in which we muse about bookish things. Musing Mondays is hosted by Should Be Reading, and today our leader prompts us with this question:
What is/are the first book(s) you’re reading for the new year?
Currently I am reading Brava, Valentine, by Adriana Trigiani. This is my first book in the series; I also read and enjoyed books from her Stone Gap series.
The first book I finished in the New Year was Balancing Acts, by Zoe Fishman (Click the title for my review).
What about the rest of you? I’ll be hopping around, checking out your reads…hope you’ll stop by here, too.
Great to see people moving right along with their reading!
I’m reading a nonfiction book now, but there’s plenty of fiction on the table too.

I just finished a sarcastic fun one about a high school freshman told from his clever and sarcastic point of view…I loved it. I am trying to decide what to start next…

I’m reading a book by an author I’ve never read before, and so far it is interesting. The Balancing Act sounds interesting, and a four is pretty high on the reading scale.
Thanks for the visit today.

Yes, I really enjoyed it, Gigi Ann, but it was a familiar theme…hence, the four instead of five.
Thanks for stopping by. This year I hope to stretch and read more authors that are new to me.

Both books sound really good. I have the Trigiani book on my Nook. Eventually I will get to it.

My first Trigiani was a library book: Big Stone Gap. Then I read the sequel.
This is my first of the Valentine series, and I’m enjoying it.
Thanks for stopping by, Cait.
