Welcome to another Hump Day Potpourri, in which we spotlight various quirky events.  Today’s event is Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill, at Breaking the Spine.

Today I’m sharing a book that will be released on 12/27/11:  The Magic Room, by Jeffrey Zaslow (author of The Girls from Ames).

    This book does sound interesting and sort of different, too.
    I am struggling through Map Of Time which I thought I would love and which I definitely do not love at all…444 pages into it’s 660 pagesband I am still underwhelmed.

    1. I am avoiding my lengthier books…knowing that sometimes they take FOREVER. Like when I read Barbara Walters book Audition (which I loved, BTW). I have several chunksters just sitting on the brand new shelves for my Old TBRs.

      I still have sixty-two books on those shelves!

      I hope this book is good. It sounds better than The Girls from Ames, which felt too dry to be completely interesting. Sociological textbook-like book.

  6. I have never heard of this one before. Hmmm… well, understandable since my focus is more on YA books. But there comes a time when I come across a book that, even though it’s not my usual, I would absolutely like to read.

Your comment made me realize my WoW post for today didn’t go through cause you commented on the one from last week. I guess I was so sleepy, I dreamed I pressed the “publish post” button! Lol…I corrected that mistake though and now this weeks, WoW is up.*shaking my head*

    Thank you for stopping by! This looks like it’d be so emotional – my whole blog is romance novels, so the idea of a book about brides is a win for me. I love how the historical aspect of this is woven in – there probably aren’t that many bridal shops this old. Happy reading when it comes out!
