Today I’m participating in Sam’s WWW Wednesdays. Here’s how it works:
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next, and/or what are you eagerly awaiting?
***
After finishing three deeply moving books so far since Sunday, I am ready for something lighter.
I don’t know if Every Wild Heart, by Meg Donohue fills that need, but I like the sound of it: a mystery, a love story, and a mother-daughter tale about two women on a precarious journey to uncover their true selves.

BOOKS FINISHED SINCE LAST WEEK: (Click Titles/Covers for My Reviews)
The Comfort of Others, by Kay Langdale
The Child, by Fiona Barton
My Life to Live, by Agnes Nixon
The Marriage Pact, by Michelle Richmond (NG – 7/25)
The Best of Us, by Joyce Maynard – (NG-9/5)

EAGERLY ANTICIPATING:
I just discovered this upcoming release from one of my favorite legal thriller authors: Lisa Scottoline. Exposed (A Rosato & DiNunzio Novel)
Blurb: (Coming August 15, 2017) A BATTLE FOR JUSTICE PITS PARTNER AGAINST PARTNER…
Mary DiNunzio wants to represent her old friend Simon Pensiera, a sales rep who was wrongly fired by his company, but her partner Bennie Rosato represents the parent company. When she confronts Mary, explaining this is a conflict of interest, an epic battle of wills and legal strategy between the two ensues—ripping the law firm apart, forcing everyone to take sides and turning friend against friend.
SOMETIMES LOYALTY CAN BE LETHAL.

This was my week so far. What does yours look like?

Yes, it always feels more impressive to me when I add up the books I’ve read since last Wednesday. My books read in this calendar week are only three…but there is still time for more. Thanks for stopping by, Cathy.

I have enjoyed other books by this author and I am ready for something lighter, less complex. I hope this one is just that.
Thanks for stopping by, Deanna.

Every time I see the Agnes Nixon book, I mean to pick it up … and always forget. Maybe this time! I think of her quite a bit with Shondra Rimes in the news all the time. Before Ms. Rimes could ruled nighttime soaps, Ms. Nixon had to blaze the trail in the daytime, right?

Thanks, Gal, I agree about these trail-blazing women and how they’ve changed TV, night and day.
Enjoy your reading, and thanks for visiting.

I loved The Child…so glad about that, too, as sometimes a second book can be a disappointment. Thanks for stopping by, j9.

So many wonderful books. The Child and Marriage Pact are books that I have been eyeing after seeing good reviews around blogosphere. Lisa’s new book also sounds really good.
Enjoy your books this week. Happy reading 🙂

For a moment I thought the woman on the cover of My Life to Live was Hilary Clinton! Every Wild Heart sounds great – I hope it was the lighter read you were looking for!

Thanks, Nicole, and yes, I can see the resemblance.
As for Every Wild Heart, so far so good. I’ve been distracted since I started it, and I’ve also been reading Mean Streak. This may not be the best plan!
