Welcome to another exciting weekend with Saturday Snapshot, hosted by Alyce, At Home With Books.
Today I’m sharing a potpourri of photos taken during the Olympics in London (and a couple on the way).
Next week, I expect to have more photos….On Sunday, Brett and his kids are meeting up with my oldest son, Craig, who is coming to Paris from Berlin to connect with them. They’ll be meeting at noon under the Eiffel Tower.
I can’t wait to see more.
Now I’m off to see your photos…come on by and leave some comments and links!

Delightful…you should have gone with them!!!
That would have been fun….thanks for stopping by, Patty.
Looks like fun.
I’m dreadfully envious that you got to see a Federer match live, I’d love to do that some day.
The “sleeping on the plane” shot is hilarious. I’m not sure they’ll be happy with you for posting it though.
Actually, these shots were taken by my son….I WISH I could have been there for these events. Thanks for stopping by, Eva.
Ha! Love the sleepers picture but you may well be in big trouble! LOL!
Ha-ha…but my son is the one who took the pix….he’ll be in big trouble! Thanks for visiting, Eugenia.
Looks like they are all enjoying the Olympics. What an experience to see it live!
I agree, JoAnn…and they still have many more events to enjoy. I’ll have more pix next week.
LOL at the sleepers photo!! Looks like quite an adventure however.. perfect for those young ones!
Forgot to leave my link, silly me.. Come see my snapshot for today.
Thanks, Marie…glad you could stop by….and I am enjoying this experience vicariously.
Go Team USA! Lucky family to be vacationing in London right now! Have fun … and cheer loud!
They are lucky, Susan…and I know they will always remember this experience. Thanks for stopping by!
Wow! What a terrific experience for those young people. I got travel guides for London and Great Britain and have been using the Olympics to help me plan a trip — maybe next year!
Joy’s Book Blog
I would have loved to go with them….I will have more pix of this trip for next week, as I found more today…Thanks for stopping by, Joy.
Oh my gosh, that’s the trip of a lifetime! I can relate to the photo taken on the plane.
Definitely! Twelve or so hours, I think. Thanks for stopping by, Kathy…enjoyed your snapshot today, too.
Awesome what a trip for them all!! We’re heading to Paris tomorrow!
They’ll be in Paris tomorrow, under the Eiffel Tower at noon…lol
Thanks for visiting, and enjoy!
London! The Olympics!! So much fun! I love the shot of the kids sleeping on the plane, that’s classic right there
Keep having a great time, can’t wait to see more pictures– Book Savvy Babe
Yes, I’ll have more next week…tomorrow they’ll be in Paris meeting up with their Berliner uncle. Thanks for visiting, booksavvybabe.
Looks like they are having a great time. Just can’t seem to get away from McDonalds … they are everywhere!
I know…I liked the caption she wrote: “Who says there isn’t gourmet food in London?” A big ha-ha.
Thanks for stopping by, Leslie.
Neat that you get to experience it vicariously through the photos of your loved ones!
Yes, I kind of like this “armchair traveling.” Reminds me of the movie The Accidental Tourist, about the man who writes travel guides for those who want to travel as if they aren’t actually leaving home.
I would actually like to visit those places, but without having to fly there for twelve or fourteen hours…lol
Thanks for visiting, Alyce.
Wow! It’s great that they can watch a Fedrerer’s match! Looks like they are having great time in London.
Definitely! Thanks for stopping by, Valli, and enjoy the weekend.
I hear the Olympics complex has the largest McDonalds in the world…
Thanks for the look behind the scenes!
Oh, that’s interesting, Cheryl. And today I grabbed another photo that I’ll feature next week, with the four of them single file, a la Abbey Road.
They certainly look as if they are enjoying themselves, but I love the picture of them asleep.
Me, too, Christine. I have another photo of the three of them asleep in the van (a few years ago) after a day of errands, etc. Thanks for stopping by.
It looks like everyone is having an amazing time! Such a terrific experience to watch the games first-hand.
Rebecca @ The Key to the Gate
I agree….wish I were there! Thanks for stopping by, Rebecca….
Sensational! I love the one of them asleep too. We’ve been watching the Olympics on TV where I seem to be cheering constantly. I was born in England, spent ages 5 thru 14 in Canada before moving to the states in 1969. So I’m a three time champion cheerer.
Wow, I would love to have grown up in another country, even for a few years. What an experience! Thanks for visiting, Sims.
What an opportunity for them to be there when the Olympics are on. Good pics. Hope to see next week’s photos too.
Thanks for visiting, Carolyn…I’m looking forward to more shots, too.
It looks like they are having a wonderful time! What a great experience for them!
Totally! I wish I could have been there, too….
Thanks for stopping by, Kailana.
What an amazing family trip. I’m so jealous. Here’s Mine
Oh, me too, Paulita….thanks for visiting, and enjoy your week.
What a wonderful trip that must have been for them. It looks so great.
I’ll be getting more photos in the next few days….I’m living vicariously. Thanks for stopping by, Louise.

That is so awesome! I have been watching these all week. It must be amazing for them to be there!
I agree….thanks for stopping by, Meaghan, and enjoy your new week.
I’m really late in visiting your Saturday post, but these shots are fantastic – bet they had a great time.
