TUESDAY POTPOURRI: NESTING AMONGST MY BOOKS…

Tuesday is a favorite day of the week for me, with new books calling out to me.  I am growing my bookshelf (above), which had only a handful of print novels on it when I moved into this apartment.

Most of the time I add new e-books, as the space issue will soon be reminding me of why I don’t often buy “real” books.  But I do love being surrounded by them.

I think my fairly “full” shelf is a reminder that I have achieved the goal of nesting amongst my books.

Therefore, today’s new addition is an e-book, and it wasn’t released today.  Home Fires, by Fiona Lowe, came out in September.

For fans of Liane Moriarty comes a story of a community in crisis from best-selling Australian author Fiona Lowe.

When a deadly wildfire tears through Myrtle, nestled along Australia’s breathtaking Great Ocean Road, the town’s buildings — and the lives of its residents — are left as smoldering ash. Eighteen months later, Myrtle stands restored, shiny and new. But is the outside polish just a veneer?

Today I am reading Behind the Red Door, a recent acquisition, by Megan Collins.

The author of the “suspenseful, atmospheric, and completely riveting” (Megan Miranda, New York Times bestselling author) debut The Winter Sister returns with a darkly thrilling novel about a woman who comes to believe that she has a connection to a decades old kidnapping and now that the victim has gone missing again, begins a frantic search to learn what happened in the past.

What does your Tuesday look like?  Adding books?  Reading old books?  Enjoy!

I like the sound of Home Fires, as well as the setting. I love looking at the books on my shelves, down from 1,000+ to about 200 after our move to a condo in 2009. The older, I get, the more decluttering projects that occur LOL

    1. Thanks, Diane, and I would probably have more than this one bookshelf if my space wasn’t so impossibly small. But I am grateful to have my Kindle, where I can clutter to my heart’s content.

      Enjoy your decluttering.
