Welcome to Tuesday Book Release Day! I love this day, not only because of the new releases, but because it symbolizes how anything is possible. Anything can happen.
The good stuff started happening yesterday. Not only did I get one of my new books in the mailbox, but early this morning, a pre-ordered book dropped onto Paige, my Kindle.
Yesterday, I got The Love Story of Missy Carmichael, by Beth Morrey
For readers of Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine and A Man Called Ove, a life-affirming, deeply moving “coming-of-old” story, a celebration of how ordinary days are made extraordinary through friendship, family, and the power of forgiving yourself–at any age.
“Here is a love story of the most important kind: that of coming to love oneself through accepting and returning the love of others–be it people or dogs.” –Elizabeth Berg, author of Night of Miracles…

My Pre-Ordered Book:
The New Husband, by D.J. Palmer
What makes Simon Fitch so perfect?
-He knows all her favorite foods, music, and movies.
-Her son adores him. He was there when she needed him most.
-He anticipates her every need.
-He would never betray her like her first husband. The perfect husband. He checks all the boxes.
The question is, why?
Nina Garrity learned the hard way that her missing husband, Glen, had been leading a double life with another woman. But with Glen gone—presumably drowned while fishing on his boat—she couldn’t confront him about the affair or find closure to the life he blew apart.
My kind of story!

Now, speaking of delightful events, and not only new books, but yesterday was one of those days.
It started out with a plan. My daughter would stop by with goodies to leave with staff, and I could glimpse her through the window as I took my scheduled walk.
Well, it didn’t go according to plan…she overslept. But we did a Face Time phone call and the goodies arrived in early afternoon.
Then my granddaughter went shopping for me, and dropped them off…including a surprise bottle of wine! I talked to her on the phone as the staff collected them from her.
And, of course, the aforementioned Amazon packages, so all in all, it felt almost like Christmas yesterday (and today so far).

Could the rest of today go any better? Who knows? What do you enjoy about Tuesdays?

Appreciating the small but significant event is especially important at these times. So good to get a bottle of wine!

It was a delight, Kathryn, and totally unexpected, since my granddaughter had told me she lost her ID and couldn’t buy it a the grocery store. But she had her mother buy it!
I won’t open it for a while. It needs a special occasion, and I’m thinking more time has to pass.
Enjoy your day and your week!
