Today we gather around to talk about our current reads. Hosted by Should Be Reading, we share tidbits from our books.
Here’s how it works:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
The Position, by Meg Wolitzer, is what I’m tackling now.
It wasn’t that she was exactly sexually attracted to Paul in the beginning; he was undeniably handsome, but he had a little too much hair on his head and on his face and sprouting out the end of his sleeves. He was also so kind and understanding; though these were good qualities for a psychoanalyst, they were less desirable for a lover, at least at first. p. 146.
That excerpt made me laugh! What about you? What tempting tidbits did you discover today? Please stop by and share.
This one looks like such a good book!

Oh, what a funny teaser! Is the whole book like that? The cover is wonderful too. And the title makes me howl, when combined with the illustration. Ahem!
Really excellent choice today.
My own teaser has quite a different flavor — both from yours and from my own recent TTs. (Over at Bookishgal)

Paul sounds like an interesting guy! I could probably handle the abundance of hair on his head and face. Not sure about that hair “sprouting out the end of his sleeves,” though. Maybe he could do a little arm-waxing? Cute teaser – I’ll have to look for this one.

I agree, Joy…head and face, okay…sprouting out of sleeves, not so much! Thanks for stopping by.
