Today I’m participating in Sam’s WWW Wednesdays. Here’s how it works:
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next, and/or what are you eagerly awaiting?
***
Currently Reading: Saints for All Occasions, by J. Courtney Sullivan, a sweeping, unforgettable novel from The New York Times best-selling author of Maine, about the hope, sacrifice, and love between two sisters and the secret that drives them apart.
***
BOOKS FINISHED SINCE LAST WEEK: (Click Titles/Covers for My Reviews):
Her Every Fear, by Peter Swanson
After Anna, by Lisa Scottoline (NG – 4/10)
Sometimes I Lie, by Alice Feeney
***
EAGERLY ANTICIPATING: (A book I’ve requested from NetGalley, but haven’t yet received)
The Boy at the Door, by Alex Dahl (Release Date – July 24)
Synopsis: Set against a stunning Scandinavian backdrop, a gritty novel of psychological suspense that asks the question how far would you go to hold onto what you have?
Cecilia Wilborg has it all–a loving husband, two beautiful daughters and a gorgeous home in the affluent Norwegian town of Sandefjord. And she works hard to keep it all together. Too hard. Because one mistake from her past could bring it all crashing down around her.
Annika Lucasson lives a dark life with her abusive, drug-dealing boyfriend. She’s lost everything one too many times and now she’s got one last chance to save herself, thanks to Cecilia. Annika knows her secret–and just how much she’s willing to do to make it all go away…
When someone forgets to pick up their little boy at the local pool, Cecilia agrees to take him home, only to find an abandoned, empty house. It’s the first step in the unraveling of her meticulously crafted life, as her and Annika’s worlds collide…

That was my week. How is yours going?

I’m liking the sound of The Boy at the Door – it’s a while since I’ve read anything from a scandi writer and as you know I love books that pose a question.

I liked the comment in your review of Her Every Fear – only read it in the daytime!
The Boy at the Door – loving the description of it as ‘a gritty novel’ set in Scandinavia – sounds good.

I like Scandinavian thrillers, they usually have a unique atmosphere because of the setting. I bet The Boy at the Door is no exception. Enjoy!
