Today I’m participating in WWW Wednesdays, at Taking on a World of Words. Here’s how it works:
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next, and/or what are you eagerly awaiting?
***
CURRENTLY READING: Spare, by Prince Harry.
***
BOOKS READ AND REVIEWED SINCE LAST POST OF 1/10/23:
Ms. Demeanor, by Elinor Lipman
***
Just the Nicest Couple, by Mary Kubica
***
EAGERLY ANTICIPATING: The Love of My Life, by Rosie Walsh
Who are you?
Emma loves her husband Leo and their young daughter Ruby: she’d do anything for them. But almost everything she’s told them about herself is a lie.
And she might just have got away with it, if it weren’t for her husband’s job. Leo is an obituary writer; Emma a well-known marine biologist. When she suffers a serious illness, Leo copes by doing what he knows best – researching and writing about his wife’s life. But as he starts to unravel the truth, he discovers the woman he loves doesn’t really exist. Even her name isn’t real.
When the very darkest moments of Emma’s past finally emerge, she must somehow prove to Leo that she really is the woman he always thought she was . . .
But first, she must tell him about the other love of her life.

That was my week. What did yours look like?

The Love of my Life sounds really intriguing. I look forward to seeing what you think of it. Are you enjoying Spare? It’s certainly sold a huge amount of copies.

I’m listening to Spare on audiobook right now too – wasn’t going to but really felt I wanted to read it and see behind all the headlines – Harry has a very easy listening reading voice!

So I have to ask what you’re making of Spare? It’s sold a lot of copies here in the UK – perhaps being sold at half price helped – but had also had a lot of not very positive press coverage everything from it reveals too much personal stuff to it’s actually not as interesting as people expected.

Thanks, Cathy, I have only read a few chapters so far, but I’m enjoying it. I have no criticisms so far.
Enjoy your week!

I know someone listening to the audio of Spare and she is fascinated by the book and the entire situation with the royal family. She has two meanings for the term, spare. One is okay, the other has terrible connotations.

Thanks, Carole, I am sometimes way behind others in reading popular books. This time, I grabbed one while it was “trending, ” lol.
