Today I’m participating in WWW Wednesdays, at Taking on a World of Words. Here’s how it works:
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next, and/or what are you eagerly awaiting?
CURRENTLY READING: The Photographer, by Mary Dixie Carter
Mary Dixie Carter’s The Photographer is a slyly observed, suspenseful story of envy and obsession, told in the mesmerizing, irresistible voice of a character who will make you doubt that seeing is ever believing.

Eagerly Anticipating: The Last Thing He Told Me, by Laura Dave
Before Owen Michaels disappears, he smuggles a note to his beloved wife of one year: Protect her. Despite her confusion and fear, Hannah Hall knows exactly to whom the note refers—Owen’s sixteen-year-old daughter, Bailey. Bailey, who lost her mother tragically as a child. Bailey, who wants absolutely nothing to do with her new stepmother.
As Hannah’s increasingly desperate calls to Owen go unanswered, as the FBI arrests Owen’s boss, as a US marshal and federal agents arrive at her Sausalito home unannounced, Hannah quickly realizes her husband isn’t who he said he was. And that Bailey just may hold the key to figuring out Owen’s true identity—and why he really disappeared.
Hannah and Bailey set out to discover the truth. But as they start putting together the pieces of Owen’s past, they soon realize they’re also building a new future—one neither of them could have anticipated.
With its breakneck pacing, dizzying plot twists, and evocative family drama, The Last Thing He Told Me is a riveting mystery, certain to shock you with its final, heartbreaking turn.

I love the sound of the Andrew McCarthy book, he was such an important part of those iconic John Hughes/Brat Pack 80s movies.

Sorry to learn The Midnight Library didn’t work for you as I’ve had that on my wishlist for a while on the strength of other reviews. However, that just means my next purchase can be a different book from my massive wishlist 😁

I was always an Andrew McCarthy fan. I don’t read a lot of nonfiction, but I think I’d enjoy his book. Hope you are also!

So you liked Brat! Until now I’ve been on the fence about whether or not to read it, but I do love my biographies and now I’ll add it to my TBR.
