It is another great Book Release Day!

I went a little nuts in January, purchasing a total of eleven books.  Some were print books to grow my shelves, while others were e-books.  Today I am approaching the month with more solemnity…although I have downloaded two e-books already and a print book is arriving later today!

Here we go!

Blind Spot:  They Didn’t See It Coming, by Sue Miller – a paperback that arrives today.  I thought this book was from the Sue Miller whose other books I have read and loved…but apparently it is not!  I just discovered this error today.  But there are good reviews and it sounds good…so let’s see how it plays.

Who should we save? Our family? Our friends? 2045 and the world is in chaos. Climate change, shortages of food and falling fertility are turning nations and communities into fortresses. Hope Grigori and Jude Goodman are cousins. She wants to save their whole community, he’s prepared to choose the strongest and leave the rest behind. But how do you decide who’s going to live? And who has the right to say one individual matters more than another? What’s fair? Who’s in charge? Determined to find a way through the challenges Hope sets off on a quest to find fairness for the many, not just the few. A book for anyone who’s ever asked if their life was meant to turn out the way it has. Blind Spot is a prequel to 20/20 Vision: They didn’t see it coming…

I downloaded these two:

Perfect Little Children, by Sophie Hannah

The New York Times bestselling author of The Monogram Murders and Woman with a Secret returns with a sharp, captivating, and expertly plotted tale of psychological suspense.

The Janes, by Louisa Luna

The electric follow-up to Louisa Luna’s acclaimed thriller Two Girls Down, featuring private investigators Alice Vega and Max Caplan.

Meanwhile…I am finishing up The Country Guesthouse, by Robyn Carr…a recent purchase.

The fifth book in the Sullivan’s Crossing series…I am enjoying it!

How are you spending your Tuesday? Are books flying down into your Kindles…or onto your shelves?

As I ponder the cozy desk space above, I am considering the day ahead and the upcoming book releases.  At this desk, I add them to my notebook…and then, on my laptop, I enter them on the appropriate pages at Curl up and Read.

I pre-ordered a book from an author I enjoy…it will be mailed to me tomorrow.

Losing You, by Nicci French

In this thrilling standalone novel from the internationally bestselling author of the Frieda Klein series, a woman’s frantic search for her missing daughter unveils a nefarious web of secrets and lies.

When You See Me, by Lisa Gardner, is another book I hope to download…or order in print format.  I go back and forth these days, as I work on filling up my shelves.

#1 New York Times bestselling author Lisa Gardner unites three of her most beloved characters—Detective D. D. Warren, Flora Dane, and Kimberly Quincy—in a twisty new thriller, as they investigate a mysterious murder from the past…which points to a dangerous and chilling present-day crime.
