Today I have been playing around on Amazon, scrolling through the products and ordering things. That’s what happens to me during lockdowns—and mine has seemingly been endless (since March 11!). I ordered the quilt set you see above.
Yesterday I ordered some stemless wine glasses. Primarily because I keep breaking the ones with stems! I knock them over as if they are begging for it. Like a swipe right kind of action.
What will happen when my spending exceeds what I should be buying? LOL
The quilt won’t arrive until the week of September 11…I hope that significant date is not a jinx!
For some reason, this quilt is not listed as a prime product, so it won’t come as quickly. I try to restrict my orders to prime, but I liked this quilt so much that I decided to take a chance. What’s the worst that can happen? It will take longer to arrive.
I like my current bedspread…in fact, I am using it on my header:
But I do like being able to switch things out now and again.
So…those are my restless activities. And I posted my lunch today:

Colours of both those bedding dressings are great and a little variety does help. I was a bit restless yesterday and then I settled and got on with knitting a sock, something i haven’t ever done before but Stefanie is so good at knitting that her good example is an inspiration. I think the sock will be a little small, but learning. Got me over the hump though doing something completely new. Quite honestly though if I was in your situation I would have gone nuts by now, as I’ve said before I admire you so much. I don’t know what the people in my country moan so much at the restrictions. They don’t know the half of it.

Thanks, Kathryn, I appreciate the support and encouragement. Sometimes I can’t believe I have been on lockdown this long! Going to the dining room again, every other day, helps. And I think we’ll now be allowed to socialize more, but in the community, of course. Baby steps.
I do get annoyed by people in my country who are throwing fits about having to wear a mask out and about. At least they’re able to go out!
I wish I knew how to knit. I did try to learn when I was pregnant with my first child…and it was kind of a mess. LOL.
Luckily, those of us who are introverts have an advantage…enjoying time alone, reading, etc. I don’t know how I would manage without the Internet, though.
Enjoy your week and stay safe.

That quilt is lovely. I hope you are pleased. I am an Amazon Prime junkie too but, I heard someone on television say we should ALL refrain from Amazon and online purchases a month before the election so, that all that extra mail will not interfere with mail-in ballots being received in a timely fashion so that’s my plan….I think I can do do it.

Thanks, Diane, and I completely agree about focusing my mail efforts on the election. In California, we do have mail-in ballots, and I’ve already received my notice that mine is coming in early October. I have set up my voting site so that I can enter the information when I send the ballot so they can let me know when it is received.
I am furious at 45 and his stupid postmaster! And even when we vote him out (hope, hope), he plans to say that the election was rigged and refuse to leave.
Trying to have faith that there will be a landslide victory that can’t be ignored.
Stay safe and have a peaceful week.
