Happy Tuesday!  I thought that I had pre-ordered a new release for today…my little Post-It note said so!  LOL.  But…I must have written it down, planned to do it, and then got distracted before I did.

This morning I downloaded it:

This Is How I Lied, by Heather Gudenkauf

Gudenkauf proves herself the master of the smart, suspenseful small-town thriller that gets right under your skin.” —Gilly Macmillan, New York Times bestselling author of The Nanny

Everyone has a secret they’ll do anything to hide…

Yesterday I received two books in my physical mailbox:  Amazon treats!

One is a book I used to own, so I got a replacement copy of it:

The Clock Dance, by Anne Tyler

NATIONAL BEST SELLER • TOP TEN BOOK OF THE YEAR FOR USA TODAY • ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR: O Magazine, Christian Science Monitor, Minneapolis Star-Tribune, The Times (London)

A charming new novel of self-discovery and second chances from the best-selling, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of A Spool of Blue Thread.

And then I received a book from an author I enjoy which actually released a little earlier (April 7):

A Heart in a Body in the World, by Deb Caletti

Each step in Annabelle’s 2,700-mile cross-country run brings her closer to facing a trauma from her past in National Book Award finalist Deb Caletti’s novel about the heart, all the ways it breaks, and its journey to healing. Because sometimes against our will, against all odds, we go forward.

So…I may end up adding more books today, and as I scrolled through other new titles, I bookmarked a few.  Most are coming later in the month, though.

What, if any, books are you adding today?  Which ones that are coming soon are exciting enough to buy?

  1. I did order a couple from the Book Depository. One I was expecting any day turned out to be unavailable and they refunded. So I ordered another copy of a slightly different imprint and hopefully that will get going. Enjoy all your new and anticipated buys!
