Yay!  Tuesday Book Release Day!  I have several new books on my radar, but the one I’m most eager to get isn’t actually available today…except as a pre-order.  Lisa Jewell’s books seem to take forever to be available, which makes them even more eagerly anticipated.

The Family Upstairs, by Lisa Jewell, is the can’t-look-away story of three entangled families living in a house with the darkest of secrets.

Never Have I Ever, by Joshilyn Jackson, is a must-download read available now.

A diabolically entertaining tale of betrayal, deception, temptation, and love filled with dark twists leavened by Joshilyn Jackson’s trademark humor, Never Have I Ever explores what happens when the transgressions of our past come back with a vengeance.

I’m currently reading My Ex-Life, by Stephen McCauley, a book that has been hanging around for a while (since May 2018).  I’m enjoying it.

In prose filled with hilarious and heartbreakingly accurate one-liners, Stephen McCauley has written a novel that examines how we define home, family, and love. Be prepared to laugh, shed a few tears, and have thoughts of your own ex-life triggered. (Throw pillows optional.)

So far, the week has been a good one.  Only one actual appointment, but it’s not with a doctor, so that’s a plus…and then I have plans for Friday night dinner with two of my adult children.

Yesterday I had lunch with a friend…one of my oldest and dearest.  We went to the Olive Garden, and I had a nice half-serving to take home for dinner.

How are you spending your day/week?

  1. I definitely want to read the Joshilyn Jackson book and I see there is a new book out by Sarah Jio so I must look that up at the library as well. Sounds like some lovely times with friends and family. Nice!
