So far, my Sunday has been delightful.  I slept until 7:15 a.m., which is late for me.  I had my coffee, visited some blogs, and then did a little housework.  Yeah, finally.

Then I rewarded myself with lunch at CPK…I had soup, followed by pumpkin cheesecake, while reading Her Pretty Face.

Afterwards, I headed to the DSW shoe store in the same mall, and came home with these boots:

I don’t buy shoes that often, but I’ve  been pleased by the choices at this store.  Now I’m ready for the winter!  I have other shoes, of course, but I like to add something new with each season.

Last night I started watching Season Six of House of Cards.  I only finished one episode.  I had already binge-watched Homecoming, with Julia Roberts.  I finished Season I, which is all that is available so far.

Now I feel like taking a nap, but I think I’ll read more for a while.

How is your day shaping up?  What is ahead in your week?

  1. Hi Laurel,
The cheesecake looked divine, and the soup! What kind of soup was that? I’ve been lunching lately on Panera’s Autumn Squash soup and a to-die-for New England Clam Chowder that our local Hannaford’s Supermarket sells. (Hannaford’s is a coastal Maine company–hence, the really incredible seafood that they sell.) We’re in northern New York, but are happy that Hannaford’s has stores here.
I was outdoors a great deal today in the SNOW–all six inches of it that fell Friday night and Saturday. Lots of hiking solo, and then with my husband later to a nearby swamp. And lots of work on our Bird Feeding Stations. We maintain two spots on our property.
Still reading The Bestseller by Olivia Goldsmith. Less than 200 pages to go now–whew. Enjoyable, though.
I need to move on with my Christmas season reads.
