Today I’m participating in Sam’s WWW Wednesdays. Here’s how it works:
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next, and/or what are you eagerly awaiting?
***
Currently Reading: The Other Woman, by Sandie Jones, will have you questioning her on every page, in Sandie Jones’ chilling psychological suspense about a man, his new girlfriend, and the mother who will not let him go.
***
BOOKS FINISHED SINCE LAST WEEK (Titles/Covers Linked to My Reviews):
Now That You Mention It (e-book), by Kristan Higgins
Pieces of Her (e-book), by Karin Slaughter
Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine (e-book), by Gail Honeyman (Library Book)
***
EAGERLY ANTICIPATING:
I’m a big fan of Lisa Unger, and her October 2 upcoming release is stirring up my anticipation in a big way. Under My Skin is an addictive psychological thriller about a woman on the hunt for her husband’s killer…
Synopsis: What if the nightmares are actually memories?
It’s been a year since Poppy’s husband, Jack, was brutally murdered during his morning run through Manhattan’s Riverside Park. In the immediate aftermath, Poppy spiraled into an oblivion of grief, disappearing for several days only to turn up ragged and confused wearing a tight red dress she didn’t recognize. What happened to Poppy during those lost days? And more importantly, what happened to Jack?
The case was never solved, and Poppy has finally begun to move on. But those lost days have never stopped haunting her. Poppy starts having nightmares and blackouts—there are periods of time she can’t remember, and she’s unable to tell the difference between what is real and what she’s imagining. When she begins to sense that someone is following her, Poppy is plunged into a game of cat and mouse, determined to unravel the mystery around her husband’s death. But can she handle the truth about what really happened?

This has been a delightful reading week so far. What was yours like?

I always seem to pick the book you are eagerly awaiting and this week is no different – loved the previous books by Lisa Unger so this one is going on my list.

I LOVED it, Sarah; she was such an intriguing character, and then I was rooting for her all the way through, as she tried to rise above her past.

I’m in the ‘haven’t yet read Eleanor’ gang as well; a gang I suspect is quickly dwindling in size given the number of glowing reviews like yours I see. I must get round to reading it…

Thanks, Cathy, I suspect that you won’t be sorry if you read it. When I heard Reese Witherspoon was making a movie, I knew that there was treasure in those pages.
