Today I’m participating in Sam’s WWW Wednesdays. Here’s how it works:
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next, and/or what are you eagerly awaiting?
***
Currently Reading: All We Ever Wanted, by Emily Giffin, a book in which three very different people must choose between their families and their most deeply held values.
***
BOOKS FINISHED SINCE LAST WEEK (Click Titles/Covers for My Reviews):
Our House, by Louise Candlish (NetGalley – 8/7)
Left: A Love Story, by Mary Hogan
The Death of Mrs. Westaway, by Ruth Ware
Sister of Mine, by Laurie Petrou – (NetGalley – 8/7)
***
EAGERLY ANTICIPATING:
Having enjoyed The Couple Next Door and A Stranger in the House, by Shari Lapena, I very eagerly added An Unwanted Guest to my list. It will be released on August 7.
A weekend retreat at a cozy mountain lodge is supposed to be the perfect getaway. . . but when the storm hits, no one is getting away…
Synopsis: It’s winter in the Catskills and Mitchell’s Inn, nestled deep in the woods, is the perfect setting for a relaxing–maybe even romantic–weekend away. It boasts spacious old rooms with huge woodburning fireplaces, a well-stocked wine cellar, and opportunities for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or just curling up with a good murder mystery.
So when the weather takes a turn for the worse, and a blizzard cuts off the electricity–and all contact with the outside world–the guests settle in for the long haul.
Soon, though, one of the guests turns up dead–it looks like an accident. But when a second guest dies, they start to panic.
Within the snowed-in paradise, something–or someone–is picking off the guests one by one. And there’s nothing they can do but hunker down and hope they can survive the storm.

I am enjoying my books this week. What does your reading list look like?

I’ve seen The Death of Mrs Westaway mentioned on so many other blogs so I’m adding that to my wishlist. Well done for getting through four books last week. It’s been so hot here in the UK that there’s been nothing much to do except find a shady spot and read!

Your books look plentiful and lovely…I am reading at a snail’s pace this week. I shouldn’t be…it’s raining and gloomy and there isn’t much to do outside so I should be reading up a storm…but I am not! Sigh!

I love Emily Giffin and Ruth Ware and I need to get my hands on BOTH books you mentioned this week 🙂 I’m also really looking forward to Shari Lapena’s newest book, just in time for fall. They’re perfect reads to get you in the Halloween-y mood 🙂

Ohh, I actually received a physical ARC book of Emily Giffin’s book. It was my first physical one and that made me happy! 😀 Hope you liked that one!

Thanks for stopping by, Colleen, and I’m loving the book so far. I don’t buy a lot of physical books…I don’t want the shelves to overflow again as they did a couple of years ago, leading to a major purge.
I do enjoy buying hardcovers when there might be photos inside.

That’s cool! That’s what is stopping me from buying books… I don’t have any more bookshelves unless you count the tops of bookcases but I’m trying not to do that.

The Death of Mrs. Westaway is really high up on my TBR. It’s not the type of book I’d usually go for it, but I’ve been seeing it everywhere lately and it’s getting such good reviews. So it’s on my list for as soon as I need a break from fantasy.

I love the mystery/thriller books you have here. Sister of Mine, An Unwanted Guest, etc. They remind me of how much I enjoy that genre but I never get around to reading it.
