SUNDAY POTPOURRI: BOOKS, MOVIES, & STUFF…

This morning would have been a good one to sip coffee and write blog posts out here.  But…I didn’t.

Instead I’m inside blogging and reading…and getting ready to see Mama Mia (after a quick lunch at my favorite bistro nearby).

Yesterday was a productive day.  Instead of tackling all the housework at once, I did it in phases.  First, stripping the bed and doing the laundry.  Then…dusting.  I had mopped the kitchen floor yesterday, and then bathrooms.  In the afternoon, I vacuumed.  That’s pretty much it.

Someday I do plan to really purge the cabinets again.  Another day, though.

I’m now reading Sister of Mine, by Laurie Petrou, after last night finishing The Death of Mrs. Westaway, by Ruth Ware yesterday. (Click for my review).

My daughter and her family are moved into their new house, which I’ve only seen online so far.  I’m going to sit on my hands and not go there until I get an invitation….like me, she wants everything to be perfect before a “viewing.”

How is your weekend going?  What lies ahead in the new week?

I like things to be perfect, too, before presenting it to people! Your day sounds lovely…we are going to have lunch…Den is zipping out for hamburgers…and then watch a movie…I want to watch another Oscar one…we are kind of stuck inside because of so much rain!

    1. Thanks for visiting, Patty, and while I don’t need to see perfection from my daughter, since I always want mine to be “finished” before viewing, even by family, I can understand that she wants the same.

      Hamburgers and movies sound great!

I’m not doing much except laundry today. Boring! LOL Also, watching Hallmark movies and blogging. I like things to be perfect too, even for family. That’s just me. Hope the rest of your weekend is good!

    1. Thanks for visiting, Yvonne…I did some laundry yesterday, but have more to do…tomorrow, I think.

I just got back from seeing Mama Mia…and doing some grocery shopping. I’m ready now to sink onto the sofa and read!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. I definitely have to have things perfect for guests, even family.
