It is Sunday…and a day of rest. Or not. I collected my things for a patio cleaning: broom, garden hose, and the hedge clippers. In the photo, you can’t see the overgrown weeds that are pretending to be trees. They will all come down.
It is 9:00 a.m., so it is still cool. I hooked up the hose to the faucet just outside the fence, by my front door. It worked, although I almost fell down in the mud from someone else’s watering. Yikes!
The sun should dry the wetness I just sprayed all over the patio. I will wait until it is dry and then take another photo.
Meanwhile, I’m loving my reading today. I had started Night Moves, by Jonathan Kellerman, and it’s great.
But then my mood took me to the Todd Fisher book full of photos (My Girls)…and his stories, which I hadn’t heard before.
Last night I also watched a movie called Unsane, with Claire Foy (from The Crown); a suspenseful tale that had me biting my nails (and I had just had a mani!).
Academy Award-winning director Steven Soderbergh plunges audiences into the suspense and drama of a resilient woman’s fight to reclaim her freedom even as she risks her own sanity. Still scarred from the trauma of being terrorized by a stalker, Sawyer Valentini (Claire Foy, The Crown) receives treatments at the Highland Creek Behavioral Center. However, shortly after she unwittingly commits herself to the mental institution and is unable to leave, she catches sight of a facility staffer who, she is convinced, is actually her stalker. But is he real or a product of her delusion?
It was after midnight when I finished…and surprisingly, I did not have nightmares.
And here is my cleaner patio, with the umbrella up!
And (below), another view of my living room, with my new handbag on the hall tree and some of my books on the sofa table.
What does your day look like? Enjoy the holiday.
