July is a great month for family get-togethers, and the pool above is filled with family members who have gathered for the first time in a while. They come from all parts of California…and as far away as North Dakota. This is Fiona’s family, the maternal side, and there she is on the left…after a summer of work in Yosemite.

What a great family get-together! Looks like everybody is having a fun time.
We’ve had a mild summer, so far, here near Seattle. You’ll be surprised to see me wearing a jacket in my Saturday Snapshots post — photo taken in mid-July! Of course, we were in the mountains.

Thanks, Anne, times are different from when I was a kid…back then we ran through sprinklers to cool off…or went to the canals nearby. (Not that safe, I realize).
