Today I’m participating in Sam’s WWW Wednesdays. Here’s how it works:
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next, and/or what are you eagerly awaiting?

I’ve been tackling my NetGalley ARCs this week, so one of my current reads is Emma in the Night, by Wendy Walker, to be released on 8/8/17. “Both twisted and twisty, this smart psychological thriller sets a new standard for unreliable narrators.” –Booklist, Starred Review
Bad Housekeeping, by Maia Chance is a book I purchased in June (I am still whittling away at my Read the Books You Buy Challenge). It is the first novel in the Agnes & Effie cozy mystery series by Maia Chance. Danger mounts, deadlines loom, ancient knob-and-tube wiring is explored, and the ladies learn a thing or two about the awful, wonderful mistake that is going back home.

BOOKS FINISHED SINCE LAST WEEK: (Click Titles/Covers for My Reviews).
Every Wild Heart, by Meg Donohue
Mrs. Fletcher, by Tom Perrotta (NetGalley – 8/1)
Girl in Snow, by Danya Kukafta (NetGalley – 8/1)

EAGERLY ANTICIPATING:
I have several NetGalley review books ahead of me in August and September. It is very tempting to list them all…but instead, I’m going to list a book I’m wishing for:
Promise Not to Tell, by Jayne Ann Krentz (1/2/18)
Synopsis: Seattle gallery owner Virginia Troy has spent years battling the demons that stem from her childhood time in a cult and the night a fire burned through the compound, killing her mother. And now one of her artists has taken her own life, but not before sending Virginia a last picture: a painting that makes Virginia doubt everything about the so-called suicide—and her own past.
Like Virginia, private investigator Cabot Sutter was one of the children in the cult who survived that fire…and only he can help her now. As they struggle to unravel the clues in the painting, it becomes clear that someone thinks Virginia knows more than she does and that she must be stopped. Thrown into an inferno of desire and deception, Virginia and Cabot draw ever closer to the mystery of their shared memories—and the shocking fate of the one man who still wields the power to destroy everything they hold dear.

I love romantic suspense, and I especially love a Seattle setting.
That’s my week so far…what does yours look like?

I’d be wishing for the JAK too except didn’t know it was coming but I do now!! Onto my list to read or listen to. Yikes 2018.

Thanks for stopping by, Kathryn, and I just found out about the JAK, too. January seems so far away, but look how quickly the first half of the year has gone!

You’re still tempting me with that Wendy Walker and good to see you are balancing the review copies with the ones you’ve purchased 🙂

Thanks, Cleo, and I only request NetGalley review books that I’m pretty sure to love, so it makes the balance a good one for me. Enjoy your week!

I thought I had them spaced out pretty well, but suddenly they seem to be clumped together! LOL. But I’m enjoying them. Thanks for stopping by, Emily.

I haven’t read a Jayne Ann Krentz book for quite awhile and this one looks so good. I’m adding it to my book list. I love the cover of Mrs. Fletcher. Bad Housekeeping sounds fun, too. You’ve got some good books! I hope you enjoy your reading this next week.

Girl in Snow sounds interesting, I don’t mind multiple narrators/POV.

Thanks, Cathy, and I like them, too, usually…and in this story, they were all right, but the characters didn’t really flesh out that well for me…until closer to the end. Enjoy!

I’ve been tackling my NetGalley books, too. (All summer, in fact.) Once I get through my current batch, I think I’ll switch to Christmas reads. With the time it will take to read and review, the timing will be about right. I won Bad Housekeeping in a giveaway. Maybe I’ll get to it in October. 🙂 You finished quite a few books last week! Keep it up! Happy reading.
