Today I’m participating in Sam’s WWW Wednesdays Here’s how it works:

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next, and/or what are you eagerly awaiting?

I am again reading two books concurrently:  Love Letters, by Debbie Macomber…a story that celebrates the power of love—and a well-timed love letter—to inspire hope and mend a broken heart.

And also….The Comfort of Secrets (e-book), by Christine Nolfi, a NetGalley e-ARC to be released on 7/18/17. (Sweet Lake Novel #2).

(Click the titles for my reviews)

Any Day Now (e-book), by Robyn Carr

What Remains, by Carole Radziwill:  A Memoir of Fate, Friendship & Love

The Bookshop at Water’s End (e-book), by Patti Callahan Henry (NetGalley – 7/11)

I am excited about a book to be released on August 15, from an author whose previous book was a favorite of mine (The Couple Next Door).

Shari Lapena’s new book is A Stranger in the House.

From the New York Times bestselling author of The Couple Next Door, a new thriller featuring a suspicious accident, a wife who can’t account for herself, and unsettling questions that threaten to tear the couple apart

You’re home making dinner for your husband. You expect him any second.
The phone rings—it’s the call you hoped you’d never get.
You jump in your car and race to a neighborhood you thought you’d never visit.
You peer into the dark, deserted building. You brace yourself for the worst.
And then, you remember nothing else.
They tell your husband you’ve been in an accident. You lost control of your car as you sped through the worst side of town.
The police suspect you were up to no good. But your husband refuses to believe it. Your best friend is not so sure. And even you don’t know what to believe…

What did your week look like?  I went outside my usual genres this week, with a memoir and two contemporary fiction books.

  1. I didn’t know Shari Lapena had a new book coming out this year – I’ll definitely have to get a copy of that as I really enjoyed The Couple Next Door. The Debbie Macomber sounds like a good read too – I often read her Christmas novels over the holiday season but I don’t think I’ve read any of her other books. Hope you enjoy your reading this week. 🙂

    • Thanks, Molly, and I usually read psychological thrillers, but I’ve been enjoying my step outside my “normal” genre to find such goodies as The Bookshop at Water’s End. I loved it.

      Enjoy your week!

  2. I’m afraid the only one I’ve heard of is Stranger in the House but I have been very tempted by it. I didn’t read the authors first book but it did get some incredible reviews so I hope this one lives up to your expectations

  3. A Stranger in the House has definitely caught my interest. Now I can’t wait for it to release either, haha.
Thanks for stopping by my WWW!
