Last night, after a day of errands, including a bit of pampering at the nail salon, I was ready for watching TV in my bedroom.
But TV watching at night usually means turning it on and muting it, so I can read, while keeping my eye on the images.
This week, in addition to my usual reading, blogging, and TV watching, I’ve been collecting a few photos from the past.
I found these on Fiona’s FB page:
Back in middle school, Fiona in the middle, and on the right, in the background, her dad:
She found this one of her dad when he was in his late teens…
***
Fast forward a few years, Fiona is enjoying remembering her moments with her nephew Lane when he was a baby. He is now three.
Moving along, a more contemporary photo of Fiona (left), at dinner with a friend.
***
I’m still reading these books:
- Currently reading Good Me, Bad Me...and The Sunshine Sisters.
***
I should be finishing them both later today.
Do you enjoy searching through your photos for those that remind you of moments in the past?

Love your photos and your memories. I haven’t done any photo searching in ages…I don’t want to be sad.

Oh, yes, there is that little sadness for times gone by….but mostly I feel happy in my nostalgia. Thanks for stopping by, Patty.

My mum, my husband, and I love looking back at photos and videos of the girls. We laugh at the videos. The photos make my heart squeeze and sigh.

Yes, there is nothing like a photo to conjure up all kinds of emotions. Thanks for visiting, Stefanie.

I do the same with the TV I don’t have much patience for anything on it. Would rather read anytime.

Thanks for stopping by, Jackie, and while there are shows I love, I don’t like watching whatever is on just to watch.

It’s a favorite thing of mine, too, and now that a lot of my photos are online, I must organize them better. Thanks for stopping by, Vicki.

I’m impressed that you can watch TV (even it is muted) and read at the same time. I’ve tried that–usually when I want to read and my husband has the TV going–and it does not work for me!

I used to do it in college, only it was while my hubby was watching TV and I was studying. But somehow I managed to take in the TV show, too. LOL. Thanks for stopping by, Melinda.

Oh, I just love going through old photos!
I am impressed that you can read with the Tv on, even with it muted. I need no distractions!
Hope you had a good weekend –

Watching TV while reading only works for me if the show on TV is one I’ve seen before (Golden Girls, etc.), or one that doesn’t require my full attention.
The reading actually becomes the priority.
Thanks for stopping by, Sue, and enjoy your week.
