Welcome to Monday Potpourri: today, we’re featuring Musing Mondays, at Should Be Reading.
This week’s musing –courtesy of http://carabosseslibrary.blogspot.com– asks…
Do you have any hobbies outside of reading?
Or do you collect anything?

I guess you could say that my blogging is a hobby, although I consider it to be an outgrowth of my writing, which is my work these days.
But when you love something, is it really work?
Some of you may know that I have a lot of blogs. I love redesigning them and change the headers and themes…a lot (I have had as many as twenty, but have stayed the course at twelve for awhile now).
I love Bloggiesta (coming this weekend), as it offers an official opportunity to make blog changes. I’ve already planned out some of what I’m going to do with my Serendipity blog (I do a different blog each time).
Collections. Have you met me? lol
My Potpourri site is dedicated to collections and other quirky aspects of my life.
Here are a few:
Then, of course, there are the fairytale things from Jim Shore. And clocks.
That’s enough for today. My daughter says I’m a hoarder, which is probably why I collected about six books (fiction and nonfiction) about hoarding. I concluded that I’m not a hoarder, but a collector. That works for me. lol
What about the rest of you? What rocks your world?
Oh my goodness…you do have quite a few treasures…I seem to love seasonal things but I love putting them neatly away in bins when the season is over…right now I am chomping at the bit to put away summer and take out pumpkins!

I do have many things stashed in see-through bins in the garage, and a few things in the hall closet. But yes, lots of things. You’ll be pleased to know that I haven’t bought any new collections for quite awhile…LOL
Thanks for stopping by, Patty, and for reminding me of the Fall and Halloween stuff.

Thanks, Kwizgiver….my granddaughter sprays them with “canned air” occasionally…lol
I know many collectors stash their things in closed curio cabinets, but mine like the freedom of being out in the open. Ha-ha.

I can not collect anything…old episodes of Hoarders play in my mind.

Ha-ha….Yes, well, there is a difference between collecting and hoarding…I obsessively tell myself that, anyway. Thanks for stopping by, Caite.

Wow 20 blogs?? It takes a lot of time for me just to have this one, I couldn’t imagine doing that many! That is really awesome, though. Do you hunt down specific dolls? I have a couple that I have no room for and I don’t know what to do with them!

As I said, I no longer have 20 blogs, just 12, Vyki…lol
When I was actively searching for dolls, I went to Amazon, to websites, etc. But I think the doors are closed to new ones….
Thanks for stopping by.

People who DON’T collect stuff always call collectors “hoarders!” My mom calls me and my dad hoarders, and our collections are relatively small. I love your collections… the Coca-Cola one is my favorite! I want to start collecting Dr. Pepper stuff but have to wait until I move out from my parents’ house because my mom just throws everything away!!!

I agree, Nicki…and it’s sweet of you to share your thoughts. I know that my daughter likes a minimalist home because she doesn’t like to clean…lol
Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your collections and hobbies.

Thanks, Yvonne….I haven’t added to the collections in awhile, so every now and then, I rearrange them. Then they feel “new.”
