MONDAY POTPOURRI: MUSINGS — JAN. 30

Welcome to our Monday Potpourri, in which we spotlight Musing Mondays, hosted by Should Be Reading.

Here’s our prompt:

How far along are you in your current read before you start thinking about what you’ll read next?

This is actually an easy question, as I plan out my week’s reads and post them on It’s Monday!  What Are You Reading?

Even as I list them in the post, I actually stack them on my office coffee table in order of what I’m going to read next.

To carry the compulsiveness a step further, I have next week’s stack below that one, but not necessarily in the order of when I’ll read them.

This year, I’m also focused on my TBR stacks, which I’m determined to whittle down before year’s end.

What about the rest of you?  Here’s what’s up next for me.

Hope you’ll stop by and share….

  1. I usually don’t think ahead of what I will be reading next, unless, I will be joining a Read-A-Thon, that week, than I plan my reading schedule. But, mostly it’s just what I may be in the mood for.

I too am trying to whittle at my TBR pile this year.

    1. I have hopes of actually doing it someday, Jo; however, I should mention that I have my Old TBRs, which I’m working on, as well as the New TBRs. I suspect that there will always be a stack somewhere….

      Thanks for stopping by.

  2. I make lists! I have lists written down to paper all over our house. I also post lists to my blog. And I make lists on Goodreads, out of books and in my head. But apparently that’s not enough, since I always seem to forget about them as soon as I find a new, amazing book :/ I really need to start being more organized..
But what can you say, I’m “emotional reader”, so I always have to go where my heart tells me to 😉

Thanks for sharing, and thanks for stopping by! 🙂

    1. That could be my reason for my huge TBR stacks, too, Ann. I didn’t have that many books as a child and had to wait for the library visits….

A feeling that never goes away, I suspect. Always worried about running out of books….

Thanks for stopping by, and I’m glad you like the banner. I am a big fan of “cute” and “quirky.”
