SATURDAY POTPOURRI — SCENTS & SECRETS — JUNE 11

A JAR FULL OF POTPOURRI

As I write this post, I can smell the scent of potpourri for which this blog is named.

I love the scents that mingle with fresh air in the mornings.  I opened wide my patio door earlier to let in the air…knowing full well that the coolness of morning will end before noon.  Summer heat is here, even though just a few days ago, we had rain and thunderstorms.

My coffee mug is full and I inhale those scents, too.  And curl up on my cozy sofa to read The Midwife’s Confession, by Diane Chamberlain.

I love books about secrets.

Haunted by their best friend’s suicide, Tara and Emerson search for answers.  Will they find them, or will they conclude that they never really knew Noelle?

I plan to read until I find some answers.

Later I want to see the new Woody Allen movie, Midnight in Paris.  I love his movies, which don’t come out quickly enough for me.  I was pleasantly surprised to learn that this one is playing in my neighborhood theater.

What are your Saturday plans?  Hanging out at home?  Chores, errands?  Or just going with the flow?
