BOOK LOVE — NEW SHELVES — FEB. 27

MY TBR STACKS -- SOON TO GO ON THE "READ" SHELVES

Earlier today, in my Sunday Salon post, I talked about my quest for new bookshelves.

In my wrap-up for the month, I also mentioned that in the past two months, I’ve finished 28 books…and they have to go somewhere.  Right?

So, after checking around at several shops, I finally found this shelf.  Here are two views of the shelf, which is in my office.  As you can see, there are no books on it yet…a few fairytale images are “place holders” until I finish some more books.

I like having my quirky treasures share shelf space with my books.  I’m pretty sure that within a couple of months, though, these shelves will be filled with books.

What do you do when you finish your books?  Do you have lots of shelves just waiting?  Or, do you have to go out and shop for more?

P. S.  I had to come back and post this photo of the shelves with a few books….

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A FEW BOOKS MAKES!

  1. We have intentions of heading to IKEA every Saturday for tall white shelves…right now…most of my books are artfully arranged in my sewing room…but the art is about to end…with the shelves…

    1. Yes, I have a couple of really tall bookshelves: one that I’ve had for years, and another that my youngest son built. And I have lots of smaller ones throughout the house.

This one above fits in the one available space I could find! (In my office).

Thanks for stopping by…the hunt for shelves for our books continues.

  4. I keep only a very few of my books; some I donate to Pine Ridge Reservation’s library (if they’re current books and in great shape); many ARC’s I send to fellow bloggers, others I put up for swap on Goodreads, and right now I have two boxes waiting for a reading friend to come pick up for herself. I DO, however, need at least one new set of shelves; right now, my keeper shelves are double-stacked. 🙂

    1. Ah, yes…the disadvantage to having a partner…but the upside, of course, is that the partner might be able to assemble the shelves! LOL

I had to pay a fee to get them assembled.

      Thanks for stopping by, Martha.
