As I sit here at the computer, plugging away to catch up on posts, and visiting other blogs to exchange greetings, I am warmed by the contagious holiday spirit that seemingly abounds in cyberspace today.
At one site, I read a story about restoring faith in human kindness.
In other places, I rediscovered the joy of simply sharing holiday moments and well wishes.
Facebook is full of good tidings and joy.
What is missing today are some of the Friday memes, like Blogger Hop and Book Beginnings. Okay, maybe the latter will show up at some point, but I guess I can excuse those who actually want to focus on the holidays…LOL.
I’ve utilized the available time by posting on several blogs and writing about a new challenge over at CURL UP AND READ.
Later today, I’ll be joining my daughter, her husband, and her son as we trek to a neighboring city for a celebration with her husband’s family—a tradition we’ve enjoyed for a few years now.
I’m told that fondue will be the centerpiece, after snacks, etc. Then for the gift unwrapping. My grandson is already shoring up his energy for this event.
Then, last week, he was getting in the mood for the celebration by building a gingerbread house. It looks like the fun is in the experience of it.
Tonight I hope to snap a few more photos—maybe one will end up here as my Saturday Snapshot.
HERE’S TO HAPPINESS, PEACE, JOY, AND A WONDERFUL NEW YEAR!!
