TEASER TUESDAYS — DEC. 21

TEASE ME, MICKEY!

Good morning, and welcome to Teaser Tuesdays, hosted by Should Be Reading.

Here’s how it works:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Today I’m spotlighting a delightful book from an author I admire.  My Lost Daughter, by Nancy Taylor Rosenberg, is another tale about the Ventura County judge Lily Forrester, who has overcome adversity and heartache to get to a place where she can help those who cannot help themselves….and then she receives word that her daughter Shana, who is attending law school hundreds of miles away, seems to be having a nervous breakdown….

Teaser:  As Shana paced, beads of perspiration popped out on Lily’s forehead and upper lip.  One minute she hated everything and everyone and the next she was planning a wedding to a man who no longer wanted her. p.81

Okay, now I’m officially hyped up about this book.  What about the rest of you?  What delightful or suspenseful teasers did you find?  I hope you’ll stop by and share….

    1. Oh, yes, it’s sort of like the cobbler’s children never having shoes…I can relate, having been in the “helping” profession for years; that didn’t stop my own kids from having problems.

      Thanks for stopping by, Harvee.
