Today we’re gathering together once again to celebrate Teaser Tuesdays, hosted by Should Be Reading.

Here’s how it works:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I’m delighted to share a tidbit from Get Lucky, by Katherine Center.

Halfway there, I realized I’d forgotten the little map I’d printed out so carefully the night before, along with the purse that I’d placed on top of it—in a genius attempt not to forget the map—and the cell phone that was inside the purse.  I could have turned around, but I was already right on the edge of late, and I’d looked at the map the night before, and I thought I could remember the way. p. 103

Here’s a blurb from Amazon about this book:

Sometimes the worst thing to happen turns out to be the best and vice versa. Sarah Harper does the unthinkable and forwards an inappropriate e-mail to the entire company, losing her job in advertising. Luckily she planned to go home to Houston to spend time with her sister Mackie and her husband. Unfortunately, on the plane, she sits next to Everett, the high-school boyfriend she unceremoniously dumped….

What tempting excerpts did you find?  I hope you’ll come on over and share them…
