Don’t you love this photo? I found it on Pinterest, of course—a place I seem to haunt these days, looking for images and connections.
As if I didn’t have enough of that on my blogs, on Facebook, etc.
For some unknown reason, I woke up REALLY early this morning—two-thirty? I told myself I’d just go on the computer for a couple of minutes to check my e-mails and enter my link in my Tuesday Intros/Teasers post…and then go back to sleep.
As you might have guessed, I came up for air (from those few minutes on the computer!), and it was 4:30 a.m. So I just gave in to the whole idea of being awake, visiting blogs, etc.
Then I started reading Heartbroken, by Lisa Unger…and I couldn’t put that down, either.
I’m loving the characters, and as the foreshadowing of horrific events starts to trickle into the characters’ lives, I know I won’t be getting any more sleep today.
Perhaps I’ll nap later.
Do you ever do that? Wake up too early and then, for the rest of the day, walk around with gritty eyelids and that feeling in your head that’s just a tad bit surreal?
It reminds me of those times back in the day when I tried to function on little or no sleep…..
Yesterday I finished reading The Good Father, by Diane Chamberlain. Another one I couldn’t put down! Click the title for my review.
Now I’m going into the dining room next to the open window…I’ll put my feet up and read some more while I boil some eggs for lunch.
And maybe I’ll have some OJ….
Enjoy your day!

Oh…that Lisa Unger book sounds good, too…and I do wake up like that..especially if Den is away…
Love the photo…and I knew you would love pinning!!!
Oh, I love Unger’s books! This one is slowly bringing us to the scary moments, although there are a few small ones that hint at bigger reveals…everything seems to converge on this mysterious island.
As for the photo…I am amazed at the great ones I’m finding. I just posted one of a very scary bridge that I used in a post over at My Forest Journey (http://eclipsedbythedetails.wordpress.com/)
Thanks for stopping by, Patty.
