We hadn’t had any rain in quite awhile…so today’s showers felt good. Cozy, even. Especially since rainy weekends conjure up thoughts of reading, watching movies, and just hanging out.
Later, my grandson Noah will come over…he’ll have his video games, but he also loves it when we order a movie from On Demand. He is a great conversationalist, and comes up with some interesting remarks and observations.
Earlier in the month, he celebrated his ninth birthday. So I’m looking forward to enjoying some time with him on this rainy, cozy day.
I’m also going to be reading from this book, which I’m loving….
Imagine a family made up of quirky individuals, and you’ll have a visual image of these three sisters, who come home to help their mom in caring for their disabled brother. One of the sisters describes Henry, the brother, as the only “normal” member of their family.
These family members take “dysfunction” to a whole new level.
What are you doing on this Saturday? Is it cozy where you are? Rainy, snowy, sunshiny?

Your Saturday sounds wonderful!!!
It has finally snowed here…it’s beautiful!!!
I am going to put a roast and potatoes and carrots and stuff in the slow cooker…I want a cupcake for dessert!!!
And we will catch up on tv!!!
And of course…read!!!
Oh, that sounds like a delicious meal…and something I could actually cook! It’s been a long time since I made a roast with carrots and potatoes. Yum!
Thanks for visiting, Patty, and enjoy your day.
Hi Laurel-Rain,
Saturday here in the South of the UK, was very bright and dry, but with a bitterly cold wind.
It has been so mild, that Winter hasn’t really arrived yet, so I just hope that we aren’t going to suffer for it later.
We are desperate for some prolonged rain, as the reservoirs are dangerously low for the time of year, which doesn’t bode well if we get a dry Spring and hot Summer.
As my husband was working from home, I spent the day on an extra shift at the hospice shop where I volunteer. It was good and busy in the shop, but with not too many people helping out behind the scenes, so all in all a very satisfying day.
Late dinner and a couple of hours watching a movie and that was my day.
Have a great week, Yvonne
That sounds like a really pleasant day. We hadn’t had any significant rain up until now, so it was cozy to stay inside and enjoy the sound of it while reading and movie watching.
Thanks for stopping by, Yvonne.
